An every day postpartum essential
WAY BETTER than the Frida belly band. Sorry to call you out like that, Frida! It’s so nice and stretchy but also sturdy and stays in place pretty well, although any of these belly bands will move around a little. I love that the Velcro can stick anywhere on the band. I use it every single day as I have an umbilical hernia after pregnancy. I especially love it under the carrier, it takes some of the pressure off my hernia when my son is in it.

Worth the money
Way better than the one the hospital gave me. Truly a life saver after an unexpected c section.

Snug without feeling tight, breathable, light-colored. Well-made, reliable support.
I recently purchased this Postpartum Belly Band, and I must say it has been an absolute game-changer.The fit of this belly band is just perfect. It hugs my midsection snugly without feeling too tight or restrictive. The material is soft against the skin, which is a huge plus, especially when dealing with sensitive postpartum skin. It’s breathable and lightweight, making it comfortable to wear for extended periods throughout the day.I got a grey colored belt, but may recommend getting one that is beige which is a subtle color that would blend seamlessly under clothing. This one is okay, It doesn’t show through, even under lighter fabrics, which is great when I want to wear fitted tops. What truly sets this belly band apart is the support it provides. It does exactly what it promises—offers excellent back support and helps in pulling everything together. I noticed a significant improvement in my posture, and it alleviated a lot of the lower back discomfort I was experiencing.Overall, I’m extremely pleased with this purchase. It’s well-made, easy to put on and adjust, and has genuinely helped me feel more secure and supported during recovery. I’d highly recommend this Belly Band to any new mom looking for reliable support.

Maybe I’m not quite the target audience
I think this maybe would have been more helpful if I had gotten it closer to after giving birth. I’m currently 8 weeks 2 days postpartum and this feels supportive but I don’t feel like I’m getting the full benefits of it. It seems like the pressure it adds would be helpful in the first couple weeks of postpartum to help the uterus shrink back down to size, as well as help with healing diastasis recti as much as possible from external input. Obviously at 8 weeks, my uterus is mostly back down to size and I didn’t suffer from diastasis recti (though this was almost not true). It stretches very well and the velcro is strong. It’s easy to adjust and soft.So overall, it was comforting to wear, but I don’t think I’m getting all the benefits someone more newly postpartum would get.

Not pleased!
It doesn’t really provide enough support and I don’t like the fact that there’s a gap on the top and doesn’t really fit and adjust to the body shop. Not super happy with this purchase. The velcro is good, but I am not sure if it will remain as effective after multiple use and washing.

Fantastic quality and easy to use!
I haven’t needed to use this just yet, I’m just getting prepared, so this review is more on the product itself than it’s specific usefulness. I am currently 5′ 3″ and about 160lbs and the size Medium fits perfectly, but does not have a lot of room to spare, so I think directly postpartum I might prefer a size Large. I think I will have both sizes on hand at that time though, just in case the large wouldn’t tighten as much as I needed or wanted. This is incredibly easy to use and can be taken on or off within seconds. The quality is fantastic and the materials feel very durable as well. I am not postpartum yet, but it does feel like it is plenty supportive in all the places I would want it to be. I use a belly band while pregnant as well and find them to be incredibly helpful! Overall, I think this is a wonderful product and a great value too!

Comfortable to use
I just had my baby in December and this was the first thing I put on right after being discharged from the hospital. I found it to be true to size, I went with a size L and it was comfortable to use with space for adjusting as my swelling went down. The quality is great, the tightness of it stayed consistent and didn’t stretch out or loose support over time.

Fits most sizes due to the length of the velcro and stretchy nature of the material. Velcro is strong and doesnt slip once you’re wearing it, and is surpringly comfortable to wear. Provides a lot of support without feeling too harsh or constrictive, and have had no irritation when wearing. Makes moving around so much easier, and provides that secure, supported feeling I was looking for. Super effective and high quality, and has now become part of my daily wear. Washes easily in the washing machine and have noticed no damage or change in quality after washing. Great value!

Good stuff! It’s still early days but It’s very comfortable to wear and provides much needed support and stability. Not restrictive in any way.It feels well made and the quality is great. It’s also quite stretchy and the Velcro is very sticky. So far, it’s working as expected and I’m happy with it. It’s worth the price, in my opinion.

i have a lot of lumbar and hip pain from an injury doctors cant diagnose. initially i was told i pulled a big muscle. totally not what happened. i could not move my leg on its own. still have zero answers a decade later. yay canada health care!so i can no longer stand for short periods of length. travelling, moving, laying. its all the same. pain. pain. and more pain. ya i can-take pain meds. if im lucky to find something that actually helps. but then im high and looped all day. cant get anything done in that state. especially driving! for get it!i have used back braces which help but they only cover a small area. they can also be restrictive because of the metal posts inside so i thought id give this band a shot.this is the second time i have ordered this item since this first one got lost and not delivered. so i was glad when it came up again.i do like it better. i can sit on the reclining chair and get up easier than with the post back brace ones.the wide girth hugs my lumbar AND hips at the same time! it feels great! the back brace only helps one. not ideal when driving either.taking it off was also a different sensation than the back brace. everything dropped down with gravity.definitely makes driving nicer than with the brace type. those posts just dont help when driving. my lumbar still gets sore too. with this haakaa one it comes up more and still offers support while driving. something i do need. yeh. i even get pains after 20 minutes of driving. this band helps support things better. not just when driving either! its not a cure all to end all. but it provides relief.i like this better because you can still move around and dont feel as constricted and restrained as with the brace.the extra support from the wider band is excellent for me.its a bit hard to get it on since it is wide but if you lay it on the bed and lay over it for the first velcro step it does make closing it and making it tight easier than when standing. then you tighten the other two velcros and you feel even nicer. you feel supported. you feel young! the pain reduces and i can get food cooking in the kitchen.i have a lot of issues doing kitchen things because its a lot of standing on a hard surface. i do most of my preparations sitting at the kitchen table but the whole cooking thing is rough on my body. really everything is with these undiagnosable injuries i have. they just slap the term fibromyalgia on there, since more than 80% of my pain points are radiating, and call it a day. naproxen does absolutely nothing but constipate things. they still want prescribe it to me even though i tell them it does zero for my pain. so this frustration adds to stress and pain increases.this haakaa band saves me enough that i can get the cooking task done and have less pain after. still need a big long rest at the end but at least i can manage on my feet longer than without it. without prescriptions or feeling loopy and goofy.it lays flat against your body, has a slim fit too, definitely a plus.

I actually bought this for chronic lumbar and hip pain (not postpartum), and it works better than the expensive medical back braces I’ve tried. The standard braces usually have rigid metal posts that dig into you when you sit or drive, making them impossible to wear for long. This band provides that critical compression but is soft enough that I can wear it while driving or sitting in a recliner without it hurting. Because it is wider, it hugs both my lower back and my hips at the same time, which gives me way more stability than a narrow brace.A key tip for putting it on: Lay flat on your bed to strap it on. It is much easier to get the velcro tight and positioned correctly while lying down than standing up.It definitely helps me stand longer in the kitchen to cook, and when I take it off, I can immediately feel gravity take over again—which proves just how much support it was giving me.
