How do I determine if my stairs meet the installation requirements?
Please check the gate installation diagram above. You need to ensure that the hinges on both sides are installed on the same vertical plane. Please measure whether the stair pillars meet the conditions before purchasing.
Can the gate be opened by just pressing the handle button?
No, need to press the handle button and lift the gate at the same time. This gate has a double-lock design, and the gate must be lifted up to open the latch below.
What should I do if the door lock is easy to open after using it for a period of time?
Regularly check the closing condition of the door lock. It is recommended to check and adjust the width of the gate once a month to prevent the C-buckle from loosening.

Very good quality and easy to install.
Very solid gate. I am really pleased with the sturdiness of this. The instructions were pretty good. I had it up in 10 minutes. I love that it is a door frame screw in because it will be super solid. The latch and lift seems pretty nice. I had ordered a different type gate, and installed, ultimately having to return because the latch would not work. I will be ordering a second one but taller for another doorway with good confidence in what I will receive. I definitely recommend.

These are fantastic gates! We use them as dog gates. My 80 lb Basset/Lab would knock over the tension gates. They take a little bit to get used to the lifting feature but the auto close and the fact that they open both directions has been fantastic! We’ve had them about a month so far with no issues. Installing them is probably better with 2 people and no dogs trying to help! They were simple to adjust to our door way and the mounting blocks were helpful to make sure it was all level. So far they are sturdy and holding up well.

Great Gate with a Few Minor Flaws
We’ve been using this gate for a few weeks now and overall, it’s been a great addition to our home. It was fairly easy to install and feels sturdy and secure—definitely gives us peace of mind with little ones around the stairs.I really like the sleek design; it blends in well with our decor and doesn’t look bulky. The locking mechanism is also easy for adults to use but keeps kids safely out.The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the latch can be a bit tricky to open one-handed, especially if you’re carrying a baby or laundry. Also, the instructions could be a bit clearer.Still, a solid product that does exactly what it promises. Would definitely recommend to other parents!

Sturdy & Easy to install
Very well made and easy to install. Another review mentioned it was difficult to line up the bar on latching side, but they include a fool proof leveling tool. Was pretty simple. Perfect for keeping our dogs in the kitchen during the day.

We’ve purchased five of these No Bottom Bar Gates over the past couple of years, and they’ve proven to be an excellent choice for both keeping our dogs confined and ensuring our kids are safe from stairs.The first gate we installed was a challenge due to unclear instructions, requiring trial and error to get it right. However, the manufacturer has since updated the instructions, and the version from our most recent purchase is much clearer. That said, having prior experience with installation likely contributed to the ease this time around, so new users might still find it slightly challenging.This gate shines in areas where pressure-mounted gates fall short. The absence of a bottom bar is a game-changer. It eliminates tripping hazards (particularly important for grandparents, and for stairs) avoids damage to wood floors, and allows our Roomba to pass underneath for uninterrupted cleaning. We installed the gate slightly higher than recommended for this exact reason, which has worked perfectly for our household; Roomba works even with the gate closed!The gate’s full-width opening is another major plus. It provides ample space for anyone to pass through comfortably, and the dual-direction opening is a thoughtful touch. The best baby gate I’ve ever owned.
I have spent untold hundreds of dollars over 16 years on baby gates. I wish I had found this one first. It’s the only one I’ve ever used that actually stays firmly attached, doesn’t scratch the floor, and actually contains my toddler.The only caution is that they do tend to come loose in drywall even with an anchor, so try to make sure you screw it into a stud or into a door frame.

We were looking for a no-fuss, pressure-mounted temporary baby gate that ideally wasn’t the usual ugly white cheap plastic crap. This metal gate exceeded all our expectations. Not only is it immensely sturdy at only a fraction of the price more than the cheap quality stuff, the wood look finish was an added plus. From close you can obviously tell that it’s not real wood, but from far it does the trick and blends perfectly with our staircase. 10/10 highly recommend. We even decided to buy two more and our house is perfectly puppy/baby proof!

I’m using this gate for 7 dogs. It was easy to install, didn’t use instructions. I didn’t use the bottom locking bracket. It wasn’t needed but also cause having to lift the gate to unlock would put excess strain on the hinges and it was not very easy to do. The gate is sturdy, easily adjustable for length and simple to install. It swings open easily both ways, with just a push of a button. As advertised it does swing back and lock if opened less than full and it does pressure lock when fully opened. Big upgrade on our pressure fit old gate that gouged the walls with excessive use. Not to mention having a couple family members trip over the old one cause moving it was a pain. One thing to mention is the hinges and locking mechanism are solid plastic. I’d prefer metal of course but full metal would be 3 times the price likely. I used a piece of tape to hold the lift locking mechanism in. Sturdy enough to hold 7 big dogs back and super easy to open, perfect👍🏻

This is a great baby gate that I am using to keep my dogs out of the basement. It was super easy to install. It has a nice rustic look to it; it looks like wood, but it is made of metal. It’s great quality!
