Great purchase. Quality construction. I needed it to keep our dog out of the bedroom from constantly waking me up at night. Keeping my door shut strained the central air. This solved that. The only thing I’d say is that I needed to go to a slightly more narrow config than what the instructions stated but that was no problem. The compression technique worked great. No screws no anything. It works fine with the compression method. Took maybe 10 minutes to install. Worth every penny. Ease of use is a 10 out of 10. I love how when you put the gate past 90 degrees it stays open for ease of moving in and out if needed. Opens and closes easily. Highly recommend.

Wide enough for a stairwell, great height!
I am super pleased with this baby gate. I had to return the first one I bought, because it wasn’t quite wide enough to fit the stairwell. This one truly was. And because there wasn’t room at the top of our stairs to anchor the gate, we had to put it on the first step. So we lost almost 8” in height. Thank goodness this gate is extra tall. So it is still plenty secure for our toddler grandson.The gate was not at all difficult to put together or to secure to the walls. And it is very secure. And I love the double lock mechanism. No toddler is getting through that. It was also very easy to take down. Since our grandson only visits a couple of times a year, we don’t need to leave it up all the time. But it’s easy to put back up.One other feature I liked was the choice of how to anchor the cups (that hold the sides of the gate) to the wall. You have the option of screws or double sided sticky tape. We ended up using both, because there wasn’t one spot we couldn’t get a screwdriver into.This is a very high quality product and well worth the money. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Sturdy Easy Install
Very easy installation. Gate is very convenient and secure when closed. This is a heavy duty item. Only four stars because it is easy to trip when going through which is common with these units. This item has a heavy plastic threshold that attaches on the bottom brace and it is dangerous if you have on rubber sole shoes as it will cause you to trip if you drag your foot across instead of stepping over it cleanly. Very dangerous if it as the top of a stair case. You just have to stay aware of this problem which is prevalent on any gated barrier. Very sturdy and quality made. I use it to keep my pup out of the garden level as she thinks it is her personal latrine. Great item to keep small children protected and animals out of restricted ares in you home.

Awesome gate
Awesome gate that works in a variety of spaces. Very secure and keeps my feral toddler out of the kitchen. He is a crazy good escape artist and still hasn’t figured this thing out after almost a year. Super easy to use, good height for my 3 year old, and swings shut automatically behind you. Opens a full 180° and you can also lock it into an open position on either side of the gate. Amazing customer service. 100% recommend.

Durable, expandable, easy install
Fits beautifully across our open space. The gate is easily expandable to different widths. Quick sliding closure with hinges that swing both in and out.We are using for an energetic lab puppy. Very sturdy.

Strong Gate With Good Stair Mount Options
I installed two of these, one at the top of the stairs and one at the bottom, to keep my toddler from getting hurt on the stairs. The gate holds strong when installed and doesn’t flex when you push on it. It also comes with spare mounts and soft wall protection pads.The door swings both directions, which is nice depending on which way you’re walking through, and it automatically closes and locks behind you. If you open it fully, it can stay open instead of closing every time.Instead of sliding to expand, the width is adjusted by adding sections and then tightening the pressure mounts against the wall. Once everything is tightened down it feels very secure.It also includes banister pressure mounts if you need to mount it to a stair railing instead of a flat wall. In my case I used a small 2×4 to adapt it to my banister, and I’ll post photos so others can see how that adaptation works for my use case.
