These are amazing!! ASD kiddo approved.
I have a kiddo on the spectrum that also has sensory issues. Hair cuts were a thing that happened once a year or once every 18 months because we had to physically restrain him. It was awful for him, for us, and for any neighbors with their windows open while we cut his hair.We cut his hair with these clippers yesterday in 10 minutes flat. No screaming. No restraining him. Minimal fuss. And he looks adorable.There are a ton of different length guards in the bag so we were able to give him a nice even haircut without getting too close to his scalp. I cannot recommend this enough for kiddos who loathe clippers and haircuts!

Great for sensory sensitive kids!
My 2 year old has NEVER been ok with haircuts. It’s usually me holding him down while he screams like I’m seriously hurting him. It’s anxiety inducing for me and traumatic for him. I got these in the hopes that maybe they would work and they DID! They are nice and quiet, the vibration isn’t super buzzy and he sat still. I love that it’s cordless and powerful. Nice and lightweight as well. Definitely recommend for those sensory kids who do not enjoy haircuts. I gave him his favorite show to watch on his lap and started at the back and it worked out amazingly

Very sharp
They work well. Especially if you have an autistic child and you’re cutting hair while they sleep. Downfall – VERY sharp. My grandson pulled away and his thumb was snipped. Lots of blood and he should have had stitches. Recommend to cut hair while asleep for those children who won’t let anyone cut their hair.

It’s taken me a minute to be able to get to this review but I HAVE to write about it because sincerely, not only is this company phenomenal, but now I can say the scissors themselves are phenomenal. I have a child with autism and sensory processing disorder. I’ve been cutting his hair since he was 2 (now 5 almost 6) and I was looking for a way to get that clipper look without the scary clippers. So first lets get to the company because that is the first thing that happened.When you receive your scissors they include a little card that says to contact them directly not Amazon if you have an issue. Well after some bribery and much needed coaxing that these scissors would make the hair cut shorter to my child (then just turned 5), I started cutting and he cried and screamed saying it hurt. The scissors weren’t cutting his hair and instead pulling on his hair. I immediately was frustrated because I was worried it’d be harder to cut his hair now since I couldn’t say “haircuts don’t hurt” any more. So I decided to email the company with the card given to see what their response would be. Within 24 hours I had a representative contacting me asking me for my address and saying “don’t worry about that pair just toss them we are sending you a replacement right now, no extra charge” I was pleased and happy that there wouldn’t be a hassle in a return and low and behold I had a new full set straight from the manufacturer within the week! I was very happy with the quick turn around and wonderful customer service and was even offered a free pair of safety scissors to accompany them. But now I had to wait until my child trusted the scissors to try again.Well it finally happened last week! I was starting to cut with my normal hair cut scissors and he pointed to the Calming Clippers and said he wanted me to use those. So I did. Ya’ll… IT WAS MAGICAL. I cut his hair in record time and it was easily the nicest looking haircut I’ve given him to date! I have learned a lot on my own with freestyle cutting his hair and I WISH I had bought this product sooner to make my life easier. Literally could have saved so much time and cuts on my fingers if I had these sooner.So if you are struggling with a child who is fearful of hair cuts and are debating on whether or not to buy this product, I’m here to tell you to DO IT! Even if the first pair is a dud, email the company and they will make it right. Literally one of my favorite products now and I truly believe that this product now has broken my child’s fear of hair cuts.

My son is 5 and Autisitc he hates his hair being done. I’ve tried everything, taking him to the barbers as he is scared at home for days after a cut. Using clippers myself which the sensation makes him so distressed he passes out. Using scissors which have resulted in many injuries as hair cutting ones are so sharp. These are great! The edges are not sharp so no worry of injury if they are jumping around, there are many different sizes for hair lengths and no worry of noise. Now my son still gets anxious but each time is getting less and less as I’m getting quicker using them, he knows there is no vibration and he can stop for breaks when it gets to much. At home I also let him wear his ear defenders for as much of the cut as I can adding an additional level of security. I can’t rate this product high enough for both concept and quality.
