GOOD Value: Functional, Comfortable & Well-Made; a Few Bucks too Much
The Deyeek Unisex Tear Away Shorts are a very good item for a number of reasons; however, I can’t quite give them five stars for the simple reason that I contend they’re a few dollars north of what they should be. Value is ratio of how much you spend vs what you get, and these shorts come up just a bit, well, short.In all other respects, they’re terrific. They’re a soft, comfy cotton that’s not too thick or thin. They’re well-made, with very strong hook & loop attachments (ObtuseAglet has a very good review here too). They’re sized accurately- I’m a 32 waist, and the L is just right if I want a little extra room. Note: there’s no drawstring, so the elastic is relatively wide.So, if $25 seems a fair price to you, these are five-star shorts that will serve you well. If you browse around, though, you’ll find comparable products in the $18-$22 range. I’d probably recommend that first, but you won’t go wrong either way.Cheers,Z
