THE BEST travel high chair. Attached securely to a wooden chair and is also stable on the floor. The buckle is secure, the tray is a decent size and easy to put on/take off, and the fabric is machine washable. It’s very easy to put the fabric back on after washing, and it came perfectly clean. I began using it when my daughter was 15m old and have used it consistently since.

High safety standards
I did a product comparison of the Hiccapop OmniBoost in gray and the PandaEar in pink.Pros: the Hiccapop holds up to an astounding 250lbs. Based on how much bigger the chair itself is widthwise and the weight limit, my child may easily be able to use this chair until age 4 or 5 if it holds up well. And based on the quality of the chair, cover, and all parts, I can see this chair actually lasting for that many years. This chair does sit maybe half an inch lower than the PandaEar, but I consider that a pro since we plan to use it as a beach chair (which you want to sit lower to the ground). And my child’s legs will dangle off the seat when it is placed on top of a chair at a restaurant when we travel, so the fact that it sits lower will not be an issue. The Hiccapop seat has a higher chair back, enabling my child to rest their head against it (see photos of my 19 month old child, 31.5″ tall and 22lbs), but it may not work this way for a taller child. The feet on the Hiccapop do have no-slip grips that keep the chair from sliding around when placed on a wood floor surface, unlike the PandaEar (which only has furniture protection coverings on the feet that don’t prevent slipping). The no-slip grips also kept the seat from wiggling around when strapped onto a chair with the safety straps firmly in place. The Hiccapop seat is comparable to baby furniture quality standards. In comparison, the PandaEar was more beach chair quality. The Hiccapop seat comes with duck feet you can add for more stability (less likely to tip over when a child is trying to get out of the chair), and they also have no-slip grips that keep the chair from sliding around. The seat is equipped with a 3 point harness system that is adjustable on all 3 points, not just 2 like the PandaEar. The seat cover is easily removable for washing (put the chair in a slightly closed position first, then slip the sleeves and seat bottom over the armrest tray attachments). The bottom of the chair cover has holes large enough that they can slip over the tray attachments to be removed with just a slight tug and then just as easily pulled back on. This makes the seat cover very easy to remove and wash. In comparison, the PandaEar seat cover can only be fully removed if you first unscrew the tray attachments. The Hiccapop carry bag has an adjustable carry strap and large front zipper pocket to store the duck feet and chair safety straps. The Hiccapop tray is easier to remove one-handed, whereas the PandaEar tray definitely requires both hands to remove (the tray swivels on both and fits inside the storage carry case on both).Cons: the Hiccapop seat has a large safety instruction label attached to the mesh pocket on the back of the seat that obscures your view of any objects inside the pocket. The biggest con appeared to be that safety straps on the Hiccapop that hold the seat on a chair are not easily removable…until I discovered that you can just slip them off by twisting the strap sideways to slide it through the little metal bracket to easily remove and store it in the front pocket of the storage carry case. The Hiccapop doesn’t come with the pink color option, which was a disappointment.It was tough deciding between these two chairs. We ultimately chose the gray Hiccapop over the super cute pink PandaEar because it appears to have higher safety/quality standards, will be easier to keep clean, and we think it will be something our child can use longer (even if she outgrows the need for a highchair, she will enjoy use of it as a beach chair).
