This high chair is super awesome!
Anyone complaining about using the tray on this high chair is RIDICULOUS. It is extremely easy to put on and take off. My husband and I can do it with one hand without much trouble. The assembly of this high chair was extremely easy and quick and is clearly easy to adjust later when your child has grown out of the setting you started it out at. It’s easy to clean, very nice to look at, it’s well constructed/good quality and absolutely worth the price. Our son loves sitting in it even just to play with his toys on the tray and look out the window, watch me cook, etc. It’s very stable. He is a very active seven month old baby and it doesn’t move at ALL while he is flailing around, etc. The pad is nice enough to serve it’s purpose but it’s not so cushy that the child isn’t using his own rear and back and everything to hold himself up and keep his balance as he should while sitting. The seat belt in it is totally secure and yet not in the way or hard to adjust or too over the top. I can’t say enough about how nice and perfect this high chair is! I can’t even imagine what those complaining about the tray are thinking. My husband said something like “if you can’t operate this tray, you shouldn’t have children”. lol… you slide the tray into the side clip area… and once you get it far in enough, it clips onto the tray. If you want it pushed in further, you just continue to slide it further and it will clip again. There is a little thing you push down against the clip to keep it more secure and you just lift them up again to “unlock” the side clips. Then you push the underside of each clip up to unclip the tray. It is clearly meant to be done with two hands but you can do one, pull that side of the tray out a tiny bit and then do the other and then the tray is free to pull all the way out with one hand. Very simple. Nothing needs to be pushed or pulled with force or anything to get it clipped and locked in and unlocked and unclipped. I hope that makes sense. It’s ridiculously easy. I love every part of the design of this high chair. The ONLY complaint I can think of is that it would be nice if the chair came painted in different colors and/or if the pad came in different colors because I am not a fan of plain wood or the color brown/beige. But that’s it! Highly recommended!!

simple chair, great for small space and energetic toddler
We were using a portable chair on top of our kitchen chair to save space since we have a tiny house. My 16 month old daughter started rocking it and tipping (not all the way over, but getting close). We knew it was time to get something else. After we purchased this, my sister pointed out we could have transitioned her into a booster, which may be another alternative for parents out there with a young toddler. Our little one can be hard to contain, so I like the security of this chair. Most important to me, this chair is very stable. She was trying to tip it from the start, and she would get a little movement, but not as frightening as the old setup. Now, she has given up this behavior since the rocking isn’t as “thrilling” as her old setup. Also, I have caught her, now 18 months, climbing up the back when not in use and it hasn’t tipped (We do NOT condone this behavior, just thought it was an interesting perspective on the stability of the chair, and something else for you to consider when looking at high chairs)This chair looks neat – it is sort of industrial looking as it reminds me of a ladder. Looks tall, but it is for a regular table. If we don’t use they tray, she can still sit strapped in, nice and safe. We just bought the tray, no extra accessories. The tray is long and not real wide (doesn’t stick outwards far) and has a lot of surface space. The cushion it comes with is fine and wipes up clean easily. I can see this being her chair for a really long time and also happy we freed up a chair for regular guests. The footprint is ok. We have it in a high traffic area and haven’t tripped on it. It doesn’t fit under the table (without tray) as easily as a chair, but it is ok considering it is a high chair.I am very picky and like to see things in person, so I am not a big on-line purchaser, but they do not sell this chair locally. I am really happy with it and wish I got it sooner to save some high blood pressure moments with my daughter rocking her old chair and preventing a potentially dangerous situation sooner. I thought it was an excellent price compared to similar types of chairs. If safety, a great look, flexibility and versatility are important to you, I recommend this chair.

Sturdy, durable, not-ugly, adjustable height, easy to clean
This is such an excellent high chair, I’m glad I spent a little extra money to have this for my first child and all my children afterwards. It is easy to adjust the height of the seat. My baby fit fine in the chair from 6 months and up. I wouldn’t invest in the extra baby cushion inserts, seems like a waste of money when the baby can sit up just fine in the chair without them.Since is it made of solid wood and the legs are spread far apart it is not easy to tip over. My daughter has not been able to rock it from side-to-side at all. If she gets her feet up against something, she can push herself back (she has never managed to tip it all the way back, however), but that is easily avoided by not putting it next to anything that she can push her feet off of.It is so easy to clean, which is one of the biggest pluses to me. All the other baby chairs have all this padding and cloth coverings that food can get stuck in everywhere and rot. This has only a small cloth cover over the seat that is easily wiped off and there aren’t that many crevices for food to hide out anywhere. One other great thing is it looks almost like a regular chair, and it’s NOT a gaudy, ugly, obnoxious high chair that screams to everyone who comes into your dining area or kitchen that you have a baby. It matches great with our other hardwood chairs and it is very understated and functional and safe. I would highly recommend this to anyone. Pay the extra money and you won’t regret it.Basically, I love this chair and think it is completely worth the investment.

Very nice chair. Great size for our apartment. We ordered the infant insert from another company but it took a while to come in and in the meantime we started using the chair without it. Our 6 month old sits perfectly fine in the chair without it and it looks like a pain to install the insert now that we have the chair assembled so we probably won’t use it. Assembly of the chair was fairly easy though and didn’t take too long. I have no problem with removing the tray. It can be done with one hand it you first loosend either side and then slide it off with one hand. Maybe because this is the only chair I have had I don’t notice that there may be easier ways of removing trays out there. Personally I think the best part of the chair is the simplicity. There are no bells and whistles, wheels, recline, swivel etc. It is a nice little, good looking chair that holds my son well. Our original chair had two pieces (the seat plates) that were stained a very different color (almost orange) than the rest of the chair which is a really nice natural color so I called Keekaroo in NY and they quickly sent out replacement pieces that match much better. So very satisfied with the customer service from Keekaroo. We also own a peanut changer from them that we have been very happy with. It was great for sponge baths when our son was very small and he still loves getting his diaper changed on it. The bonus is it is very easy to wipe down when needed and there are no fabric covers etc that require washing.

Because there’s no seat or table adjustment, this table doesnt fit bigger children. Our 1 year old wouldn’t be able to use it because her legs would barely fit between the seat and table and the table would be far too low.As a toddler chair, she sits far too high to our standard height dining table. this may be useful at a counter height table, but not a typical table unless you want them to sit above the table.

We scoured reviews on what the top highchairs were and settled on the Keekaroo. This is not a cheap highchair but we really liked how it would grow with the little one. As this style resembles furniture more than the plastic units this may be more suitable for the décor conscious. The instructions for the chair was sparse compared to the instructions booklet. It has Ikea-style instructions but felt a little skimpy on details but it’s easy to figure out where everything goes. It is preferred to have another set of hands to put it together – it was awkward to put together the cross-pieces. Comes with allen key (only tool needed). Heed the multiple points in the manual of not tightening down the bolts until you have the footrest and seat adjusted to the height you want. The sides effectively “sandwich” them together in place and cannot be adjusted without loosening the bolts. Some minor quips,- The threads on the bolts that attach to one of the metal backer rods are visible and cannot be tightened further due to the “sandwich” design on the footrest and seat. With the footrest removed, I can tighten them down all the way.- The tabletop locking mechanism does not “click” when sliding the tabletop into place. Have to double check to make sure it doesn’t slide and have the locking tabs in place.- Highest seating position seems too high with the table in place.- Best to periodically check the tightness on the bolts. The natural finish is really nice. No uneven spots and sanded and finished nicely. Great, sturdy design and sits level. Tabletop comes with plastic cover for easy cleaning. Not too thick, not too thin. Requires some maneuvering to latch/remove but not the biggest deal once you have a system down. Though it does not fold it has a relatively small footprint and we haven’t had any issues moving it from room to room, through doors, going up/down the stairs. Minimal areas where food will get trapped. This is a no-frills highchair at a premium price. No fancy features but age versatile. We wanted something where our little one will eventually be able to climb in and out of by herself without fear of the highchair giving way. The Keekaroo won’t be for everyone but we love ours. Makes for a great hand me down.
