SURGERY & INJURY RECOVER: Whether recovering from surgery or injury, or just in need of extra support, NYOrtho Abdominal Binders can stabilize your core and improve muscle tone. Made of plush, super-soft elastic material, the NYOrtho plush abdominal binder secures post-surgical dressings and provides compression to the upper and lower abdomen while improving blood circulation and oxygen levels. This, in turn, reduces swelling and promotes healing
LATEX-FREE & SOFT: Breathable material with soft medical foam panels that improve fit and reduce rolling. Features unique plush fabric in abdominal area to increase comfort during application and in use
BREATHABLE TO USE UNDER CLOTHING: Designed with plush material on belly area that is soft and breathable to provide extra comfort for the user. Easily camouflaged beneath clothing due to white color and can be kept clean with machine wash on warm with mild detergent. Fasten hook and loop prior to washing
HOW TO SIZE: Using a soft, flexible tape measure, find the circumference around the widest part of your body where you plan to wear the binder. 30-45 in. fits 30″-45″, 45-60 in. fits 45”- 60”, 60-75 in. fits 60”- 75”, 75-90 in. fits 75”- 90”. Based on preference the NYOrtho plush abdominal binder is offered in 3 panel for shorter torsos and 4 panel for longer torsos or just for a more encompassing compression
HOW TO USE: To apply binder on oneself detach binder from hook and loop and place binder around your waist, holding the side with the tag in your right hand. Using your left hand, pull the binder towards your abdomen. The more you pull in this step, the tighter the binder securement will be. Stretch binder with right hand until reaching desired compression and attach elastic to binder
Please check the size chart before purchasing. This item is designed for smaller use and may not be suitable for all users.

Works well- but velcro corners need to be trimmed back.
Works well! BUT the outer corners of velcro need to be redesigned, so as time goes by these sharp corners don’t jab/rub your skin when you bend over or walk. (I simply cut the flat ends on a 45 & stitched them secure.) Now why couldn’t it just be done that way from the start & I- & probably others, too- wouldn’t have had to endure raw sore spots from velcro corners in the 1st place? I don’t know.

Comfy and made well
Comfortable which is important

Slightly uncomfortable
Only issue I was having was lining up the Velcro so it was fully covered top & bottom of my surgery area. When it wasn’t the Velcro was hitting skin making it uncomfortable. I’ve washed it and hopefully that it will make a difference. I’ve been wearing the one the hospital gave me only because it’s more comfortable at this time.

Uncomfortable
I’m still not sure about this. It’s not easy to put on by myself. The Velcro ends up on my skin. I can’t get it to match up on the soft part. I can only wear for a few hours a day.

Comfy
Very comfortable and supportive.
Tracie Magoc –
Crappy binder
This is the worst binder ever. The soft part that the Velcro sticks to immediately stretched out in length and shrunk in width, so the Velcro is now scratching the top and bottom of my abdomen. Total waste of money

Core strength and stability
It was very helpful after major abdominal surgery… when I was cleared to exercise again I use it now when exercising and playing tennis during my recovery

Great item
Husband had a umbilical hernia surgery and he had to wear a binder 24/7 we needed a second one, I ordered this one and this one was just a great as the hospital one he was given. It was even easier to put on my husband

Would be great if the Velcro was the same width as the soft side. As it is, when you stretch the wrap around your body, the soft side narrows and the Velcro ends up rubbing on bare skin or catching clothing. I have to fold it under, which is also uncomfortable. Please make the Velcro the same width as the soft side AFTER BEING STRETCHED ON A BODY.
