Easy to use.
These were easy to install and the tape is very sticky. Hadn’t come off yet and my toddler tests them daily.

Breaks easily
Seemed like good quality but so far four of the latches have broken on us. This one pictured/videos here is about to break. The plastic can only handle being pushed to unlock so many times I guess. I firThe stick for the latches is 3m and is doing a great job sticking, very hard to get off though so it is difficult to replace the broken latches. If the latches didn’t break so easily I would recommend the product for ease of installation and use. But it’s frustrating that four going on five have broken within four months of installing

Work great but break often
These do the trick to keep little hands out of cupboards they shouldn’t be in. It becomes second nature once you’re used to them. I haven’t tried the magnetic closures but feel like these are more convenient than having to track down a magnet every time we need in the cupboards. However, they break often and with little force. I’ve had to replace multiple after only a couple months of use due to the plastic snapping.

Secure Locks
Easy install and keeps cabinets secure when my grandkids are here but easy to disengage when they’re not here. A little difficult to get used to use but very good and functional design.

Cheap plastic…snapped twice within a few weeks of light use!
Super easy to install and was quite useful… until it broke… twice… within a few weeks! Was super easy to install and somewhat easy-ish to use (you need to push down on the super narrow latch while opening, which is kind of awkward at first since it is easy to miss it due to small surface area but you get used to it). The problem is after several weeks of use, that little plastic stick snaps off. When it happened, I had two spares to replace it since it comes in a box of 4 and we had only used 2 of them. I grabbed the spare and replaced right away and it was good for… a few more weeks… until it snapped off again. I’ll replace it again with the last spare I have but I know I’ll be ordering something else since I know this will only last a few weeks at most. It is priced cheap and made of cheap plastic too apparently so you get what you pay for. Unless you wanna buy them in bulk and plan on replacing them every couple of weeks, I’d suggest a different brand (although not sure whether others are any better but maybe the bulkier ones will have more strength?). The draw of this one was that you can switch between engaged/disengaged modes simply by rotating the latch when you don’t want to childproof (cat proof in our case) your cabinets. We almost never put it in the unlock mode so that turned out to be a useless feature. Wish I had bought something that had a bit more bulk to it so it doesn’t snap so easily.

Perfect for apartment living
Loves these for cabinets and drawers in my apartment! No screws and super easy to install! A couple are coming loose but they have been frequently opened and closed for about a year now. Also love that you can switch it to being unlocked. A warning though is that when used, the cabinet or drawers stay a teeny bit open.

Do not purchase Safety 1st brand
I genuinely despise the Safety 1st brand name now. From one product to the next, I have wasted money and time. This product, specifically, does not work due to the lip that must stick out from the cabinet or drawer on the top latch piece. This makes it so that the drawer or cabinet cannot sit flush to its frame, and the latch is less versatile because it cannot be placed anywhere else or in any other way. Although the feature of turning the latch on and off looks convenient, other brands such as vmaisi have this same exact feature, they just don’t brag about it. I highly recommend vmaisi magnetic latches. They are amazing. I will go with that brand for all my safety proofing items.TLDR: these look like a good design, but they are not functional and do not work with just about any type of cabinet or drawer (I tried several in my home). I returned this item. Other products I bought and disliked include: Safety1st toilet latches and Safety1st drawer/cabinet latches. See my specific reviews for those items on those listings.

I’d avoid – all mine broke in normal use
So beware, for a safety product I found these very unreliable. Fortunately I bought a set only to keep my cat out of the cabinet where store his food, not to actually keep a toddler out of things.Functionally these are great. Well I not bother trying the adhesive only install so I don’t know about that aspect. But installed them easily with screws, and initially liked them a lot. They solved the problem off keeping the cat out while making access easy. I really like the flip-to-bypass idea. I didn’t use it much but since the same cabinet has cookware, it’s nice to have the option to stop it from latching for a while if I’m cooking. They do not require lots of force to open and the little circle makes it much easier to find a spot to press without looking. But then on broke a couple weeks after installing them – the plastic simply snapped while pressing normally to open. I thought/hoped it was kind of a fluke, so I replaced it with another from the set (luckily I did not need all of them at once). Not a fluke. Over the next few months every single one broke after minimal use. I’d say each one got an average of several weeks and, say, 30-50 presses before breaking. These are not frequent use cabinets and before you wonder if I was using too much force I can assure you I wasn’t. After the first one broke I was extra careful to use the pressure needed to disengage the latch. So this could leave you unexpectedly not having your door latch able. In a house with several people like older kids who might break it while using it appropriately and not think they need to tell someone or safeguard the contents this could be dangerous. In other words you cannot count on this product to do it’s simple job. Some of the latches, after breaking, left a slightly sharp broken part on the door, and/or a toddler-swallowable (or dog-chewable) sized broken latch piece on the floor. Granted it would probably break while an adult was using it, but imagine if it broke while someone was in a hurry and didn’t think to warn a parent or pick up the broken piece. My guess is that this is a production fail, like wrong/inferior type of plastic or incorrectly handled in manufacturing so it more brittle than it should be. Wouldn’t surprise me if some rims or batches were ok and others were not. Again, for a child safety product especially one might expect consistent quality when there are actual safety implications.I would AVOID unless/until the manufacturer discloses they messed up but corrected the problem. I gave it 2 stars because I think the design overall is good, but something is causing it to fail on use

Be aware if you have European style cabinets with no face frame these latches will not work.

Very easy to install and works great. The only issue (as some reviewers have identified) is that it doesn’t work great on some drawers (there may be quite a large gap left when the drawer is shut)

These are brilliant. The adhesive isn’t enough so you have to add the screws which they provide, which was easy no big deal. But what I think is brilliant about this design is that you can twist the lock on or off easily if you don’t want to have it there all the time. I absolutely love them each time I use them. They are well-made and I have no complaints and my dog has stopped dumping the garbage bins. 🙂
