It Even Helps With The Pain
This stuff is fabulous!!I don’t have any other silicone scar tape to compare it to, but I am sold on this, and I came here to buy another one.In September I cut two of my fingers in a chainsaw. Needless to say I definitely needed stitches.A couple of the areas were having a difficult time with splitting, two knuckles and an area between the two fingers at the top, all three of these areas scarred very thickly and I was really depressed about it.After much research, I found that silicone scar tape would help, or was likely to help.I’m pleased to say that the scar is much less visible now, but of course I’ve had scar tape on it 24/7 for the last 2-3 months. It was recommended that I do it immediately and I’d have the best results.The plastic surgeon I spoke with said they recommend I keep it covered and I touch and massage it frequently. For some reason the tape tells your skin how everything is supposed to be one specific level, and my skin is definitely listening.Before I used the scar tape, the scar was pretty ugly. I’m not sure if I can come on here at a later point in time with pictures, but I’ve been keeping a photographic library of my healing process every few weeks.I highly recommended this tape, and this is an outstanding deal right now at under $4. Since I plan on using this for at least a year, I’m getting a couple more.

Great scar tape for body, not face!
This scar tape works well to remove scars. It’s comfortable and lightweight and blends in with the color of Caucasian skin. It’s super easy to apply, and hasn’t caused any irritation to my skin. But I don’t recommend putting it on your face as it adheres in a way that creates wrinkles easily. If you are using for scars anywhere else in the body I’d recommend this scar tape, as it’s a great value.

Easy to cut and apply.
It’s a bit difficult to rate this product. I am 3.5 months post foot surgery with a 10″ incision. I have been using the scar sheets, but haven’t noticed a significant difference in the incision. The redness has been reduced, but I don’t know if that’s because of this product or if it’s a natural change.I can saw that the scar sheets are extremely easy to use. You can cut them to the size that you need. My incision is on the outside of my foot, over the ankle and up the calf. (Yeah…real pretty!) I’m able to manipulate the product so it easily covers the incision even though it’s multi-directional.The instructions say that the sheets are reusable. After use, I put them back on the strip that came with the sheet. Because of my ankle, my incision isn’t a straight line.

Use the tape!
I like this scar tape because it’s one of the few that actually comes in a continuous roll without perforations. The perforated kind is good if you have smaller, shorter scars, but for longer scars, it’s more convenient to be able to roll out the length you need and just cut it once. Of course, you can use the perforated type as longer strips if you just keep it continuous, but I’m always afraid I’m going to break it as I’m using it because it’s so sticky that it pulls a lot if you need to reposition it.I like that it’s easy to roll out to the size you need while it’s still on its backing, then you can cut it and put it on, knowing you have just the right amount. It blends in really well as long as you have a skin tone close to its color. I do wish the tapes were offered in a greater variety of tones for all people. It is sturdy but not super thick, so it isn’t overly noticeable if it’s not right front and center on your face.Silicone scar tape really works. I didn’t have my first surgery until well after middle age and used this tape on my incisions once they were healed, and they look amazing now – some places they aren’t even visible. I’m sure my surgeon’s skill contributed some, but she was even the one who recommended silicone scar tape, so I know it has to be doing something.It is super sticky, so go slow when taking it off so you don’t pull at the skin too much and irritate it. But otherwise, it didn’t bother my skin at all, and I have pretty sensitive skin in general. Professional medical tapes make me turn red and itch, and store-bought medical tape actually gives me blisters. I didn’t have any of those problems with silicone tape.Overall, I will always recommend silicone scar tape to anyone looking to fade a scar. It works really well and definitely feels like it helps in the healing process.

Thin but mighty
This was my first set of silicon sheets after using Scar Away for years. These are very thin. Like clear packing tape thin. They are great because they stay put for the most part, and they don’t peel away like scar away which is much thicker. I wouldn’t reuse them though because they are so thin.
