Great, no-fuss, old-fashioned baby monitor.
Finally an old fashioned baby monitor. Sound is good and doesn’t get too loud. There are 5 sound levels. Every time you turn it on, it has a robot sounding voice saying they care about your infant and a reminder to keep the monitors at least 3 feet apart. That’s the only con. It’s annoying to us. It works for our house. Very easy to just plug in and use. One way sound in baby’s room goes to parents room (or living room) with volume control . Both have a power button. Only used it one night so far, but we are happy with it right now.

Works well and you can use multiple sets
Recently divorced and so I wanted a way to monitor what’s going on around the outside of my house at night. I bought 3 of these. When you first turn them on they sync with each other and don’t overlap. So I have them in separate places and they do not pick up each others’ signals. The one is pretty far away from the receiver and has to go through a lot of walls and really does just fine. I’m thinking of getting a few more because the price is very fair for what it does.

“Clear sounds and easy to use.”
I bought this baby monitor in advance for my grandson-to-be and so far am pleased with it. The set up was simple and straightforward, and the sound quality is clear witg no annoying static.I like that it has a decent range and pick up sound well ,even from another room. The unit feel well made and easy to use, which is important for new parents who dont want anything complicated .I also love the adjustable volume and the compact design . Overall it seems like a realiable and practical baby monitor ,feel confident gifting it to my family. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a basic audio that does the job well .

Works well, good battery life
Rating 4 stars because the range and audio quality are great, and the connection seems more secure than other types. I also love that there’s no constant static when it’s on. 4 potential improvements, if V Tech is listening:1. DON’T HAVE THE MONITOR TALK WHEN YOU TURN IT ON. Any time you move the base unit, the handheld unit will LOUDLY announce that V Tech cares about your baby and give verbal safety instructions the next time you turn it on. This cannot be muted or skipped. It can, however, wake the baby you just spent 45 minutes getting to sleep. I have taken to turning on the handheld unit under a pillow on the other side of the house to be safe.2. Make the handheld unit heavier or flatter on the bottom. It frequently tips/falls off surfaces while charging. Again, noise while the baby is sleeping…3. Make the handheld unit easier to carry. I don’t always have two hands to clip it on, and its rounded shape makes it hard to get a good grip on it. The “handle” at the top is too small to fit a finger through. Again, if I drop it, it makes noise while the baby is sleeping…4. Increase the max volume on the parent unit. We can’t always hear the baby over noise at normal volumes in our room (conversation, fan on low, etc.).

Works great and is Loud
We love it! It gets loud but I try not to keep the volume all the way up because it can pick up the sound machine in the kiddos room.

Perfect Baby Monitor for Watching Our Granddaughter—Reliable, Clear, and Easy to Use
We take care of our granddaughter at least two days a week, and this upgraded VTech audio baby monitor has become an essential tool for making those days easier. Initially, we chose an audio-only model intentionally—wanting to resist the temptation of continuously checking a video screen—and this VTech model has absolutely exceeded our expectations.First and foremost, the sound quality is exceptional. We can clearly hear every little coo, giggle, or fuss from our granddaughter’s nursery without any annoying static or interference. The clarity truly is impressive; it’s reminiscent of traditional baby monitors but vastly improved with modern technology. There’s never that distracting hiss or hum that you sometimes get with older models. Instead, it’s quiet when our granddaughter sleeps and crystal clear when she wakes up or needs us.One feature we’ve especially appreciated is the rechargeable parent unit. We’re not tethered to an outlet; we simply carry it around wherever we are—doing chores, cooking in the kitchen, or even stepping outside briefly—and we’ve never had an issue with the battery running out during the day. At night or during longer stretches, we just plug it in by the bedside and it’s ready again in the morning. The monitor’s impressive range is another huge plus. We haven’t tested the extreme limits, but it easily reaches anywhere inside our house, into the yard, and even out to the mailbox or garage without losing the connection. Setup was incredibly easy: we just plugged the nursery unit in, turned on both units, and they instantly connected. We also appreciate the visual sound indicator lights on the parent unit. Sometimes, if we’re watching TV or busy with tasks, we keep the monitor volume on low. The lights visually alert us to any sounds coming from our granddaughter’s room, ensuring we never miss a moment when she needs attention. After several months of use, it has consistently delivered. If you’re grandparents like us who frequently care for your grandchildren, having a dependable, portable, and clear baby monitor like this one from VTech makes life significantly easier. It truly provides invaluable peace of mind. Highly recommended!

Works well!
Cheap audio monitor that I purchased for my 13 month old. Works well! Large range that extends to be able to hear my baby while I am outside or in the garage.

Very quiet low volume even when on high
Well this product is super easy to use. Just plug in and go and the parents part has batteries for easy moving around, however the baby one for power outages no way to use batteries. Also even when turned all the way up and having it close by the sound is very very quiet cant have music or tv on or any other noises in background (and I have good hearing) got it so when hubby is the one listening I can hear her without the monitor, but the other kids can not hear her well. Very soft so will be using it as a back for when my sound one goes out instead of all the time. Sadly ill need to get a different one. Got it cause no wifi needed which is our preferred method. It is hard to find those these days! …

This is one of the worst products ever. I tried connecting it only today as I was not at home and as soon as I plugged it in, there was a short burst and smoke started coming out of the adapter. And since I am a day late, I’m unable to return it.

I definitely find this product great value for the price. I can clearly and easily hear if my child is crying or just fussing. Sound is very clear. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that other very expensive brands do but this does a great job if you just want to know if your baby is crying or not. Highly recommend.

After we got this monitor, we have gained our freedom to work in our terrace office, when our kids sleep at night. It has a good range and is very reliable. It it very easy to use too. But For battery use, it doesnt last long. The only thing is make sure you turn it off when not in use, otherwise people can hear unwanted conversations. 😅
