Our bodies should never limit our potential, so Smith & Nephew creates products like the CICA-CARE Silicone Gel Sheet to help take the limits off living—no matter where our health care happens. CICA-CARE is a silicone gel sheet designed for temporary use in the management of both existing and new hypertrophic scars and keloids on closed wounds. It is effective in fading red, raised scars up to 30 years old on children and adults. It can also reduce the thickness, itchiness, and coloration of raised scars. CICA-CARE is conformable and flexible and can be used in many anatomical locations, making it easy to apply and remove during your daily life.Directions: Clean and dry the surrounding skin, then lift a CICA-CARE sheet out of the peel packet with its release liner attached. Cut a piece to cover the scar, leaving a small overlap on the surrounding skin. For large scars, use several sheets side by side. To help with ease of removal, ensure that each piece includes the removal flap on the backing sheet. Carefully peel off the release liner and apply the adhesive side to the scar without stretching the sheet. Although CICA-CARE is self-adhesive, it may also be held in place by a light elastic conforming bandage or tape, such as OPSITE Flexfix or Primafix. Do not bind the sheet too tightly against the scar, as this can lead to irritation in the scar and the surrounding area. Keep the unused portion of the CICA-CARE gel sheet in the original container and store it in a dry place (Since 1856, Smith & Nephew has pioneered health solutions with one mission: to use technology to take the limits off living. Care, collaborative efforts, and courage are what we use to help people live their best and strongest lives. A simple two-word promise inspires all that we do: Life Unlimited.

Excellent results-must use something to help adhere
Used these for carpal tunnel scar and the result was outstanding. There’s not even a hint of scarring. I wore them 24/7 with breaks just long enough to clean and dry. They’re reusable. They don’t adhere strongly without using gauze or tape and even with they tend to slip out from under. I lost a few that way. One sheet. Customize and cut your size. I got 3-4 days of each piece I cut. I’m extremely happy with results and naturally credit goes to a good surgeon as well, who recommended this brand and after having tried a couple other brands, she was absolutely right. Don’t waste time or money with the others. And don’t bother with a topical gel or ointment.

Thick, reusable. Not self adhesive.
I use this to help break down the scar tissue from my carpal tunnel release surgery. I wear it at night with a thin cotton glove to keep it from falling off. I’m the morning I rinse it with water and if necessary, diluted gentle soap and air dry on a ziploc baggie. My physical therapist says I should get 4 – 6 weeks of use out of a single small section of the pad.I cut it into small sections. Makes it more price effective.Works great for my needs. It’s not self adhesive so you can’t shower or go work out with it, I only use it at bedtime while I sleep otherwise it would just fall off. I suppose you could use medical tape to keep it in place for daytime wear if you choose to.Works great for me, just don’t let your cat or dog chew it up like mine did!

Works
You have to be really patient and use this round the clock and it takes quite a long time to work but it’s working! I had a big dark keloid scar from a skin biopsy that wasn’t fading even after two years. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now for at least 14 hours a day and my scar has faded significantly. I will keep using it.

Won’t stay on a flat surface.
Starting to use this product on my new scar. It won’t stay on a flat area of my body. I don’t know when it is fall off. Recommend to use it with a surgical tape. However, my scar is soften after 1 day of use it.

Preis Leistung super. In der Apotheke sehr teuer. Nichts desto trotz das beste Gelpflaster was es auf dem Markt gibt. Empfohlen auch von Ärzten. Gut gegen Narben

Who’s been shopping again –
I have used this type of product several times. They are very good for smoothing scars, in some cases they disappear as my granddaughters burn did. Be patient though and follow the instructions.
