Curious kids try to get into anything and everything, but the Safety 1st OutSmart™ Flex Lock helps you keep them out with the first ever decoy button. Your child will think that the decoy button opens the lock, but pushing it has no effect. You’ll know that the flexible surface hides the actual secret to opening the lock. It installs easily with no drilling required. The adjustable straps let you get a customized fit for cabinets with hardware up to 8 inches apart and can be used on cabinets with either knobs or handle pulls. For periods of non-use, this cabinet lock hangs conveniently out of the way, but stays close for when it’s needed again. In side by side comparisons with leading competitors using real life toddlers, the Safety 1st Outsmart Flex Lock was strong enough to keep even the cleverest of toddlers out. Even in lab testing using state of the art mechanical pull force equipment, Safety 1st outperformed the competition. Toddler Tested. Proven Stronger. This is a 4 pack.
Prominent decoy button can be pushed by child, with no effect
Flexible surface hides functional buttons in plain sight
Easy installation with no drilling required
Fits on both cabinet knobs and handle pulls

    A must for parents !
These work so great! The decoy button is deceiving so my toddler can’t figure out how to open it. My son gets into everything so i needed something sturdy and no easy to figure out and these do just the job! Great quality and can pretty much work with many different handles since they are adjustable. I ended up purchasing more for other places in my home.

Effective & economical, easy to use solution!
Got this for set of French doors to the office to keep the cat out. Cat busts thru the doors to get to things to chew on and quickly broke the plastic bar type safety lock, which was much harder to use. These work excellent; loops are adjustable and it’s easy open with one hand, easy enough to lock. Having two, we have one on the outside and inside of the doors, to easily lock when we’re in the office. Turned out to be a very economical and effective, hassle free safety lock for double doors (or handles).

The future of baby proofing is now!
I was hesitant at first to buy these because there are cheaper options available but I was enticed by the placebo button on the front so I went ahead and did it. And we love it!Pros:- The placebo button is genius: not only does it work at tricking toddlers into pushing it, but my 18-month-old son often (not always) gets less frustrated at this device than our other baby proofing gear because he gets distracted by the button and then treats it like a toy rather than screaming when he still can’t get the fireplace open.- It’s very adjustable! Put it on everything from cabinets to fireplaces to fridge doors. And if you rent (like us), then you don’t have to worry about holes or damage on the walls/doors- Unlike the u-shaped ones, this doesn’t have any rigid, sharp or stick-like parts waiting to gouge out an eye. The zip-tie portion is flexible and smooth, unlike the vicious teeth and prongs of last-generation baby locks.Cons:- It’s not an air-tight closure, there is some give to it even when you tighten it all the way. So finger-pinching is likely to happen in slightly cracked-open doors (although this has, in my experience, always been the case for these kinds of locks)- Definitely pricier than other options (but worth it, in my opinion)All in all a great step forward in innovation for baby-proofing products.

    Good option
Overall this is a great product. It takes some getting used to the release mechanism but once you’re get it it’s easy. My complaint is that there isn’t a way to lock the arms in place. My toddler comes up and yanks on the bottom of them sometimes and tightens them down. This makes it really hard to maneuver it to get it released

    Flawed item
Several fatal downsides to this product:1. This lock will only work on handles/knobs that are several inches apart. My handles are close together which doesn’t allow enough space for the two halves to separate; the only option was to leave the straps loose to allow enough room, but that means the doors could still open several inches, defeating the efficacy of the lock.2. On the first day of use, the top release button got jammed. Several people tried to help open it, but I eventually had to cut the lock off.3. The release levers are very difficult to press, even for an adult. It would be impossible for an older or arthritic adult to open them.

A MUST HAVE FOR TODDLER PARENTS!! *Read Full Review For Important Details!*
I have a three year old who is a SNACK MONSTER! She will even climb, if necessary, to gain access to any cabinet she believes might have food/snacks/candy etc. These locks are fully adjustable with long bands that can be completely released from the loop and inner-locking mechanism. There are 2 small, hidden, pressure-point tabs on the back of each half of the lock. They are sturdy and require strong counter-pressure to loosen (or fully release) each band. The band adjustment tabs are 100% hidden from access once both parts of the lock are in place.Once the bands are re-inserted, and both halves of the lock are secured together, I highly recommend the user to tighten the bands as tight as necessary. There is a bit of learning curve to using these; but they aren’t difficult to use and figuring out what works best for you should happen quickly!IT IS IMPORTANT FOR ME TO MENTION:**My toddler WAS able to figure out that she could slip the bands over knobs, essentially removing the entire lock, but that was only IF the band(s) were too loose!**This specific feature (the functionality of the fully adjustable bands) made it possible to place a lock on our refrigerator door handles [which fully connect to the fridge doors at both ends of handle].These locks have helped us safely secure the fridge as well as the pantry, AND the medicine cabinet… just in case!OTHER NOTES:**My -almost- 8year old IS strong enough to release/remove the lock [but she knows what to stay out of] so I don’t suggest these for children older than maybe 5 or 6yrs old or for children with advanced hand-strength/dexterity.(I do not recommend demonstrating how to disengage the lock to anyone that doesn’t NEED to know how)**For those who may have cabinets with “cup-pulls” (instead of knobs or handles) I would HIGHLY suggest the Safety 1st hidden, magnetic, lock with the magnet key. The locking mechanisms are installed inside the cabinet. They are a sleeker option if you don’t want something that calls attention to itself! The magnetic keys that disengage those particular locks are SUPER strong. That feature, generally, prevents the use of regular fridge magnets as they are not typically strong enough to engage through most materials that you would apply the lock to.Overall, Safety 1st has been my tried and true, GO-TO, brand for various baby need for MANY years!

Son muy fáciles de usar y sí cumplen perfectamente con la función de mantener cerradas las alacenas. Tiene un botón al frente para mantener entretenido al bebé, pero se abren aparentando arriba y abajo al mismo tiempo, súper sencillo. Me gustaron mucho.

Works great. My toddler can’t figure these out. I was having difficulty finding a solution for my cabinets that would not damage the paint. These work great and are very easy to adjust.
