Works well and looks good.
I bought this to separate my scaredy cat from the bullies. It works great. I don’t have to keep the door closed so she can see out instead of being shut in. It’s sturdy enough to keep a small dog from going through and maybe a medium dog if it doesn’t jump against it a lot, but I’m not sure it would withstand a large dog charging through it. The rails are sturdy enough, but since it’s not screwed into anything I’m not sure it would withstand teenagers using it constantly either. The locking mechanisms are plastic and could be easily broken. Also the instructions leave a lot to be desired or to figure out on your own. I would recommend it if a friend was looking for one.

Nice, simple and effective design, did a great job of keeping my cats separated for a weekend.
Good design, fairly easy setup, did exactly what I needed. I was looking to keep my cats separated while away for the weekend because one needs to be on a special diet and another will devour his own food and then try to eat the others’. I was able to keep each cat in his own section of the house so they could only eat their own food with this. Setup was pretty straightforward and easy, although I did purchase a model for a wider doorway and one for a narrower doorway, and although the narrow model had less pieces the instructions that it came with were the same as the wider one, so it appeared that a section was missing from the narrower one (only comes with one side extension rather than two). Took a little bit to figure out, and I did have to move some pieces that were already assembled in the box around to make it work. But once I got it, it was exactly what I was looking for. Crown molding may get in the way, which was the case for me, so you just have to adjust the positioning or put the gates at a slight angle to make it work. The handles, when closed and locked, make it impossible for an animal to push the doors open. And when you’re done using them and ready to store them for a later use, no need to completely disassemble – I kept them assembled and zip-tied the sections together, that way when you need to use them again there’s little guesswork as to how they go back together.

Way Overpriced for Plastic Latches and Limited Stability
This gate has a solid overall concept, but the execution does not justify the price. The latches are made of plastic rather than metal, which allows too much movement and significantly reduces the gate’s strength. Because of this, it is not reliable for keeping my dog and two large cats separated. If the latches were metal and provided better rigidity, I would have kept this gate and given it a 5-star review, even with minor cosmetic marks on the pole.I originally had the option to purchase a very similar extra-tall gate for around $50 in early December. However, Sprouterie’s listing stated that another seller was offering a lower-quality, inferior version, so I intentionally purchased directly from Sprouterie. After paying $129, the quality difference does not reflect the price increase. At this cost, the gate should not require additional modifications to function as intended.The supporting feet are also oversized and do not fit well in a standard doorway that includes a door, limiting where the gate can be used. Including smaller round feet would greatly improve usability. Additionally, because Sprouterie boasts added flexibility with their extention bars, a stabilizing connector to maintain proper spacing between all three poles at the ceiling (or at the top of tall doorway) would significantly increase strength and safety, but this is not currently offered.Again, I could have gotten a gate that looked exactly the same as this gate, and at a lower price point. All these shortcomings that I’ve mentioned would be easier to overlook. However, at $129, they are not.Unless Sprouterie offers a solution or design improvement, this gate will be returned. I’ve included a video showing both the positives and the limitations so buyers can better evaluate whether the price aligns with their expectations. 1 star for now because it really is a great concept and it actually looks nice. The actual gate itself is well made, and I like that the doors push open, and (sometimes) stay open. But if it doesn’t properly function for the purpose that is made for, then it’s completely useless and to be honest, there is no way that I would trust the safety of my animals with this gate the way that it is. I have 5 others pet gates in and around my home that are 100% durable, and I trust the safety of all my pets when I’m asleep, and out running errands. This gate, no. Absolutely not. It’s been such a disappointment as I was really hoping to love this and purchase others.

Absolutely satisfied with this purchase, it has brought peace back to our home and our cats can be kept from fighting while still enjoying freedom in our home. I 💯 % recommend this product. Note, it says in the instructions to check the post for security, they do need to be tightened every few days if you go through the gate a lot.
